The most common part that dies in a computer is typically the power supply. If you are not sure, bring your PC in and we can test the power supply.

What brand is good?
There are a lot of good brands including Corsair, EVGA, Seasonic, Thermaltake, CoolerMaster. On newer custom builds you may want ATX 3.0, PCIe 5.0 Ready. Some brands like Dell, HP, Lenovo will have proprietary power supplies so you want to make sure they have all the connectors and wiring you need.
